The LWE

In ‘comping’ speak, an LWE is a Long White Envelope. I got an LWE today. I nearly didn’t open it, it was just a plain white envelope with no return address or any clue who it might be from. I was curious though and so I did open it. When I unfolded the paper I saw the masthead for ‘Horse Magazine’ and had an inkling straight away that it might be a win. I’ve had a run of small wins this last month, so I was expecting something like a horse lick or a bag of Equihage - whatever that is. But I couldn’t have been more off track.

I’m hoping that its arrival on April 1st was not a horrible sick joke. I don’t think so though, I can tell the difference now between a genuine win and a hoax.
